66. Sparkler Skull

Sparkler Drawing. I hope you didn't think I was skipping today, I just had to wait until dark to capture this one! Thanks to J for procuring the sparklers and being my camera assistant.

did you just use a manual shutter speed for it?

I set the camera as follows:
400 ISO
f5.0
Bulb Setting
The shutter was then manually held open for as long as the skull took to draw (5-7 seconds).

I wish digital camera's could do extended exposures (as far as I know they can't)

Some can David, I'm using the Canon Digital Rebel Xti (EOS 400D).

Thanks! I did about 20 versions. Several were decent, but this was definitely my favorite.
